My first ever go at this and hopefully your reading this in the Newbies section.I've got a 2000 Sportster Custom,which I've had for a few years now. My previous bikes have been 70's Triumph Bonnie and Norton Commando, so no big culture shock switching to Harley's, it's nearly as good as them!! I've been checking out your web site for a while now together with the local HOG's(their forum is now private,what have they got to hide?) and finally made my mind up on the Riders club. I'm from London,live in the north of North Yorkshire and work in Co. Durham, how could I possibly bring myself to join a HOG group that is called "The Geordies". Just promise me you dont have "Road Captains" arghh. Hope to get along to a North East meeting at Darlo soon, and if they don't scare me off will join up. Maybe see ya soon.

Cuture shock????? Ive always had Jap bikes! apart for when I first started out and had Triumphs and Beezers so this is going to be fun for me

welcome to the site, in this club people collect rally badges, not road captain, sandwich orderer, stamp collector, sweeper, historian patches etc etc

not saying that big rideouts are not well organised for safety, but road captain...youre avin a laugh aint you

and the North East lot are a great bunch

Just got in from work and good to see some nice friendly welcomes, thanks. Really looking forward to joining in and maybe getting round to some of the rallies. From what I can make out on the forum the North East crowd seem a nice bunch, I'm impressed . Old enough ? when I bought my seventies Brit Bikes they were new! Old Geezer maybe. How do you get those little pictures up by your names, they look good. Not that I can think of one to put there yet.
