so here goes.

I ride a 1990 fatboy with quite a story... been riding for 25 years mostly crotch rockets then got fed up with trying to balance on tippy toe (I'm a short arse) so changed to a draggie...(ok ok couldn't afford a harley)... never looked back and since then have wanted a 'real' cruiser. In the end decided to go into serious debt and got a bank loan... looked on ebay and with the help of Alf and Annie at Top Joint Motorcycles found the one for me... low low low and chubby!! Yep she needed some TLC; a base gasket leak, broken speedo, new seat, bit rusty here and there... but what the hell I was in love! Uno mucho problemo... shes in Edinburgh, I'm in N. London - oops. Oh well I needed a holiday so made the arrangements and off to sweaty sock land to bring her home.

Picked her up, rode 40 miles then on the back of an RAC flatbed

to arrive at Alf and Annies 5am next morning (sorry guys)

. Five and a half months later, (bloody suppliers) shes on the road and looking fantastic... had a rebore due to standing start seizure damage (what you don't see in them pretty pics on ebay

), new pistons; partial rewire (the reason she had to come home on a lorry), stage 1, new air cover, seat, apes, engine repaint, pipes painted black and wrapped (way cool Alfie).. etc etc. A huge thanks to Alf for all the work he did shes definately Na Bitseach Síollann

. Running her in at the moment and loving it... the phat grrl of my dreams.

wow someone seriously abused that bike......that's kinda unheard of! Glad it is in good hands now. By the way, those first 1990 (and 1990 ONLY) Fat Boys are, in original stylee (yellow trim bits, silver paint) genuine collector items now. That was a first-year-only look.

See you on the road - but more likely near Edinburgh in my case!

She was first registered Jan 1991 but in Japan! So 1990 build, silver paint job yes but no yellow... have heard that if I put her back to original she may be worth something but I like her the way she is.
