I've finally taken the plunge and bought a harley and joined the forum. I've been lurking around the forum for some time while I umm'd and arr'd over getting a harley. I've always loved Harleys, and yet always wound up buying sports bikes until yesterday. I'm now, or will be next week when I pick it up, a proud (and not a little excited) owner of a dyna wideglide

Once I collect it I'll be looking to join the riders club and looking forward to some great rideouts with the Anglia region (I'm in Cambs).

I'm in Burwell, so depending on where you are in Cambs, I'll no doubt see you about.

If you're over here to the East, Essex meet in Sible Hedingham early in the Month (second Wednesday I think), Anglia meet at the Plough on Farcet Fen near Whittlesey 2nd Friday of each month, and Nick (Eastern Anglia under-rep type doody) is hoping to arrange some meets in Suffolk or Norfolk.

Lincs meet at Horncastle (I think) and Anglia often meet up with them as a lot of Anglia stuff starts off Peterborough/Whittlesey way.

A non-riders club meet is organised by Bean , a Harley/American car gathering at the Five Miles From Anywhere at Upware near Soham/Ely on the second Thursday of each month. Usually a good few bikes in the summer. I saw 30 one night.

I'm pretty certain South Central meet near Bedford/Luton way, so not a huge distance to travel, and they've organised a run to go through Newmarket to Lavenham - Sudbury - Halstead (or Hadleigh, I get 'em mixed up) and Haverhill on 21st June, so a good time to meet quite a few peeps from adjoining areas, especially as (I think) some Anglians & Essexers might be tagging along.

There're loads of club rallies and runs. If you keep an eye on the forums for Anglia & nearby areas, and check out the rallies section you'll come across them all the time.

I'm over the western side, not so far from Peterborough, so Anglia region looks ideal. I'll look forward to some overlap with the neighbouring regions too though, especially on nicer evenings/weekends
