I have now lived here in UK just over 8 years.

I ride custom Fatboy -04...(Feet First bike)

Cheers,
Kim Finn

Hi Kim the Finn

Welcome to the rider's club from the wilds of East Anglia.

Very nice bike, and my favourite colour too. Unless we come across each other at a rally or two, it's unlikely we'll meet, unless......

A ride to Finland sounds very nice indeed. If you do decide to make the trip next year, make sure you post well in hand about it, as I'd like to tag along.

Regards

Baff

PS You had to shatter my illusions. I had in mind a long-legged Nordic blonde in leather.

Re: Newbie from Sandhurst (Berkshire)

Hi Baff,

I'll most definitely ride to Finland next year to see my Finnish Harley brothers and sisters...I'm planning to take the long way there, first to Newcastle where will take ferry to Bergen, then through Norway and Sweden go in up north and then cross to Finland where Tornio is (above Oulu), then little bit to south to Seinajoki where the super rally is. This trip will take 4-5 days, leaving Monday and getting to the super rally by Thursday or Friday. We have already 3 bikes going, but would be nice to have more bikes to join us.

I'll post more detailed plan for the trip closer to the time...

Maybe we'll see in Oswestry....

Happy riding!

Cheers,
Kim the Finn

Ps. I'm off to sunny Malta now for a week....

Hi there Kim, welcome to the club and forum. Hope you enjoy it all.
you may want to rethink your ferry to scandinavia, have a look at this one from roger: http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.c...s-seaways.html

Have a great time in Malta.

Cool Re: Newbie from Sandhurst (Berkshire)

Hi Kim, welcome to the forum. I myself am looking at going to Finland with some friends of mine next year to the Superrally. However we will be travelling on the Harwich-Esbjerg ferry then riding all the way to either Stockhlom -Turkuu or Umea- Vassa then on to Seinajoki, we may come back via Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Holland and home, although not sure yet. I only live about 15 miles from you in Guildford if want to come with us too. Not sure how many of us can actually make it on the day but have 6 expressed an interest. Three of us went to Denmark this year and had a great time. Speak later mate. Cheers

Hi,

It looks like will be taking Harwich-Esbjerg ferry too as Newcastle - Norway ferry will not be servicing after this year. So we could join you guys...

I didn't go to Denmark this year, I was last year in Holland and couple years ago in Sweden....

As you live quite close and I'm often riding through Gilford to New Lands corner or box hill...we should meet for ride...let's talk later when I'm back from Malta...

Cheers,
Kim the Finn
