Hi everyone

Thanks for letting me in BaZa !
Just a quicky 2 say Hello to everyone, especially those of you I've met in person this last 12 months... Elvis and friends, Steve & BaZa etc etc.

Just wanted to say that I hope last weekends fundraising event was a huge success for all concerned. I had intended to come up to you, but staffing problems at the last minute put paid to that

Anyway, just so you know, this Sunday is my 1st Yr anniversary here at the pub, and we're having a FunDay ... I've made an executive decision in as much that I'm donating 50% of profits from outside activities to your own fundraising efforts for the AIR PAL.

I'll be in touch after the weekend, and hopefully, who ever is in charge of the donations here, will be able to arrange collection of any monies forthcoming !!

I'll not be posting often ... just nice to be able to see what your all up to and especially when you may be heading back to Matlock again. My son was in total 'awww' when you all rode past and up to the Duke on Friday. Couldn't take the smile of his face all day ! Thanks for that X

Take care everyone ... I'll be back after the weekend XX

I have 2 or 3 photo's of some of you - I'll try and get them uploaded for you -from when one of you mislaid a T Shirt and then found it wrapped in Christmas paper !! .....

Elaine.

Re: Hi everyone

Hi again,

Just an update of the weekend.

The weather was brilliant and everyone had a great day.

Unfortunately the day wasn't as successfull as I'd anticipated it to be ... with very little 'profit' made on the outside activities - although the Bungi Trampoline have still to get in touch with me and let me know if they reached their 'target' and if they are donating any 'extra' back to the appeal ...

In total, £47 was made - bearing this meager amount in mind, I'm rounding it up to £50 and will donate the whole amount to your worthy cause.

If Steve Marples or someone from this region can make contact, I'd like this extra money to be added to your own collection please ...

Wish it could have had a few extra naughts on the figure ... maybe next time ... if I'm here long enough to do another Funday !!

Best Wishes

Elaine.

Hi ERZNMINE

The £50 you raised is fantastic and much appreciated. I will call in for a drink later this week.

would you please post on here what bands you have playing and we will try to come down and support your pub, it will be good to have a change and for you to meet more of our members, we can hopefully all call for a drink after our ride-outs

look forward to seeing you soon

if you want we might be able to arrange to take you and your son for a bit of a ride out one day, would that put a smile on his face?

Re: Hi everyone

Hi Erzemine

Thanks so much for donating some of your money from your funday. I know Sue would have been looking down smiling at everybody (seing that she had sorted the sun out for us) and would have been astounded, as i am, at the genorosity of everybody who has contributed.
Of course if Steve lets us know, we will pop down on the bikes and say hello to you.

Many thanks once again.
Budgie

Re: Hi everyone

Hi all,

Thanks for all the replies. Glad to have been able to help, if only in a small way x

Errr ... read your message out to CJ (son) .... and .. I've never seen his face light up so quickly or so brightly !! "YEAH!!" was all he could manage as a response !! ... followed by ... "When they coming ???" ...

He says we have to clear the car park again for you all ! like we did on Sunday for the Funday!! lol ... I think he hopes thousands of you will just drop in !!!!

Your all more than welcome to drop in any time your passing, and yes, I'd love to meet more of you.

I think some of you may already meet up here on Sunday mornings, out on the car park ... if you ever want a hot drink before setting off, just give us a knock and I'll put kettle on for ya! it doesn't fit very well and doesn't particularly suit me but hey !!!......(remind me to go shop and buy in extra mugs !!)

Video's are very touching ... I'm honoured I've been allowed to view them. Thank You.

TTFN and take care everyone.

Elaine.

(I'll come back and drop a list of forthcoming 'gigs' )
