And another newbie (High Halstow, Kent)

Hi to all, thought it was time to log in and introduce myself. Login name is dunworking proper name is Sean. I have spent many months surfing the various Harley forums trying to pick up as much information as i could but really only ended up confusing myself. So I thought it was time to get out and meet some like minded owners/enthusiasts who could put me straight.

I've Wanted a Harley for as long as I can remember and after years and years of nagging the other half I finally progressed from an old Vespa Sprint (sad but I do like old scooters) to a 1200 Custom Sportster for my 50th birthday last year - and its been absolutely brilliant.

Just spent all my spare cash on exhaust, filter and fuelpak but as soon as the bank account is showing some credit I will be applying for my HDRCGB membership.

cheers and hope to see some of you soon.
dunworking.
(on account of taking early retirement to take on househusband duties - highly recommended as it leaves loads time for riding and tinkering)

Welcome to the Forum from Lincolnshire.
Have a few meets with the local HDRCGB peeps before committing your hard earned.
You'll find it's worth it.

Re: And another newbie (High Halstow, Kent)

Thanks fo the welcome guys.

Probably shot myself in the foot already as the bits are sat in my garage waiting for me to pluck up courage and fit them. The exhaust could be the downfall but I just love the look of them - Vance and Hines staggered short shots!

The rest is a Screaming Eagle Air Filter kit plus a K&N filter to go with it and a Vance and Hines fulepak. Fuelpak and exhaust were second hand but only 3 months old, the guy has bought a new CVO Springer - what a bike that is.
