Re: Region 11 on Facebook

Well I hope you get more chatting on facebook seeing as region 11 don't use the site much and region 11 have not even got a rep at the moment.

Would be good for the people you want to go to facebook posted here for info of local events etc! It may even help with newbies looking in.

Seems very odd to advertise an alternative Harley Riders get together here on your own clubs website!

That was the whole point really, the forum is used very little but FB seems to be extremely popular - does it really matter where members or newbies find the club details?

Well it's your club as much as mine and many people find the club through a Google search and like many guests on this site they read what is happening locally and hopefully introduce themselves and later become members.

You are using this site to promote another site which is Harley themed it just seems a bit pointless really when you have all the facilities here!

So will you be letting readers here know about parties/rides etc etc or will it all be on FB?

All I'm trying to do is keep the club together and help newbies join.

Paul,

Just looked at your previous posts/threads and as you seem keen and new to biking, why not try to get the ball the rolling again as M.A.D. have lost their rep why not channel your energies into helping the club you joined?

While you have been away a lot in the past year surely it would have been nicer for you to have a active region posting here to keep in touch?

Loads of us are on facebook as well as here but not actually trying to run a region from it.

it would be nice to think that some of these people who have so much time on thier hands and enthusiasm for the club / region will be putting thier names forward for the post of area rep, ass area rep or at least a committee post within the region, editor, ride-out organiser, treasurer, secretary etc. at the next meeting

The meets & rally's I posted on FB are just what's happening locally in the area, nothing to do with HDRCGB and I'm not sure whether thats appropriate for this forum. I kinda thought it's for the new rep/assistant to promote any club activities on here and in the 'Quin etc but no doubt that will be sorted at our next meet if we can convince anyone to take the job.

I don't understand why its caused such a stir when HDRCGB are already on FB and you're the admin for it - if you feel its inappropriate then remove the thread and lets all move on.... we all want region 11 to continue but only time will tell.

anyone can post or promote the region on here and in the Quin, it is unfair that all responsibilities are left with the new rep / assistant rep. i for one would like to see members of the region doing more for the region and helping in anyway they can
