Saying Hi.

Hi to all the North East folk.
Finally... Back on a Harley! Ya beauty! Just got myself a '96 Softail Custom, minted oot it's face wi' only 7,300 miles.
Anyway.. I pick it up next Friday, allegedly and I can't wait.
I was a member of the HDRGB in 1993-95 (ish) an' there was none of this new fangled web stuff forum thangs then... Probably more's the pity.
Previous machines have been an '89 FXR and a '96 Wide Glide, in between them were Streetfighters and various odds and sods.
H-D used to do a forward control extension kit (for the FXSTC) for not a lot of dosh but I don't think they do now. I heard that kuryakin or similar did a kit but it was mega bucks. Any ideas... I just need an extra inch or inch and a half (as the actress said to the..... ).
Like I said, just saying hi and hoping to meet up with you at some point. Runs, a pint or whatever. I'm sure a thread/post mentioned somewhere, The Avalon but I can't find that entry again. Doh!

Welcome back, I used te have a set of Arlen Ness extended controls on my Softail. They are reasonably priced on ebay. Custom chrome also do them, Click on this link to see a set for sale now.

I'm based in Newcastle for at least the next year and a half. I've still to re-join and I'm waiting on an email back regards online payment. I'll be paid up soon enough hopefully.
