club night Weds / Reivers Rally

oh to be in north-east England, now that summer is here!!!

get out your diving bells and flippers, get yer leg over, and ride down to club night at the Railway Tavern tomorrow (Weds) night.

I am going shopping for a Hydro-Glide if this crap continues.....

we'll mebbes have a roll call as to who is doing the Reivers Rally (at Langholm in the Borders) this weekend. Should be a good one, hope that a fair few of us will be making it over there.

See you tomorrow

Dave

Re: club night Weds / Reivers Rally

I was going to turn up very late after work tomorrow......and ride up to Glasgow this afternoon in order to do that.

Bloody glad I didn't. Despite the OK forecast for today, which I decided not to trust, between Whitley Bay (fine) and Glasgow city centre (fine) was about 150 miles of TORRENTIAL rain.

I might be a wuss, but I ain't stupid!

See ya Saturday lunchtime.

PS: a straw poll of the region last night indicates most are keeping their powder dry for the Lakes...

BTW....big welcome to Chris aka Scooter333 straight from Spain, where he never felt at home in that weather!! Good to see you last night mate.

And Big Al made it back safe after his 3,000 mile jaunt round Europe. Highlights were trying to break out of Colditz, and actually fearing DROWNING on a German autobahn after torrential downpours (ja! there also!) washed away road works signs and he found himself and his Heritage about 2ft below the carriageway surface in a bloody hole. With the rain so damn hard he was sucking in water, not air!!!!!!

Get him to tell you about it. Set aside an hour or two!
