We've got tonight and tomorrow to organise it
Has it already been organised and I'm being a twat as usual?!

CRAP!!! WHAT A GOD DAMN AWFUL START
Got to A1 at Darlington and it was thick, thick fog -that wet sort!-,it was like riding through milk. Visor kept on misting up, glasses misted up then it started raining, nearly got knocked off by an arctic going far too fast -and so were the cagers!-, I couldn't see any further than the end of my headlight beam so how the hell they thought they could see beats me!
Got to Scotch Corner and it was like something from a Steven King novel - you know, pitch black with just the lights from the petrol station glowing!- No one there, probably had a better idea and stayed in bed! So I filled up with fuel and got under way by 6.15am and it just got thicker and thicker,-never seen owt like it!- after 5 miles I had had enough (read as, shit scarred of the other road users) and decided to find an exit and head home, problem is I couldn't see the bloody exits! it was too foggy.
I eventually found the exit for Thirsk/Northallerton and took that one thinking it would probably be safer to go across country rather than risk the A1,WRONG!. The fog was now condensed milk and to make matters worse, I now couldn't even see the bends and corners so I'm now down to 15/20 mph with cars queuing up behind me and one twat even tooted me as he overtook on a bend, wanker!
I eventually got to Northallerton and then, bugger me, by the Croft Circuit junction, I got a ferkin puncture in the front tyreIt's now 7.00am I'm freezing my tits off and no one at home will answer the bloody phone
I put the hazards on and sat on the deck to work out a plan of action when out of the blue (sorry white) a bloke overtook and slowed down and reversed in a trannyvan and asked if he could help, you're a ferkin star mate, we got the sporty loaded up and he dropped me of at home and didn't even want a cuppa tea. So Jed/Ted you are a ferkin hero mate.
I mended the puncture by 11.00 (a small nail) but decided it was too late to get going again. I'm sorry to have missed yet another bash due to circumstances beyond my control, especially one so important, so apologies to all. At least I got home safe
I hope any one else who experienced the same shitty weather got there/home safely.

Re: Rttw

Good Idea.
I used to belong to the Ford Granada club and we had a similar thing for each of the regions we had. It was done on a voluntary basis and the rescuee would pay the rescuer just petrol money and any other out of pocket expenses (which is only fair!).
The only trouble is that it could end up as just one or two people doing the favours, as not all of us have a tranny van or motorbike trailer, so possibly it could be done on a rota basis? or even the volunteers may be just happy to do it!
Funny though innit as I didn't even think to phone the AA! Mind you that fella Jed/Ted was there in a couple on minutes so it all went out of my head to do that!
Lets have a chat at the next monthly meet and see if something can be worked out.
Meanwhile I've PM'd you.

Apart from the good fortune in meeting Ted/Jed you really are the definition of 'If it wasn't for bad luck you would have no luck at all'!
