Just had a glorious days ride out on my old chop round the local country side starting with a ride round the Derwent Reservoir the sun was splitting through the trees, a lovely day. Moved on to Blanchland ,the only strong hold the vikings didn't raid in them early days of raping and pillaging, helping themselves to what ever they fancied. On to some roads that I always wondered where the hell do they come out at , well they come out on other roads ah don't bloody know. Ended up at Hexham, tea and a sandwich, time for home by the a68 ,turn off at Kiln Pit Hill, look round an old church on the hill open to the public, but not sign posted. Back just in time for the F1 grand prix and Jenson.s triumph.
