Trip to the Ace Cafe - anyone fancy it??

Hi All

After a long yak over cups of tea at our local bike night, I've decided (been bullied into ) organising a wee trip down to the Ace Cafe.

The plan would be to have a ride down on the Saturday (avoiding all motorway where at all possible), staying overnight Saturday and spend some time either at the Ace /hotel bar/nearby pub. Having a mooch Sunday AM before riding a scenic route back.

Potential dates are weekends in August with the most likely to be either 8th & 9th August (has an Elvis party on the Sat night), the 15th & 16th August, the 22nd & 23rd (have a Ska night on the Sat night). Check out the ace cafe website ( www.ace-cafe-london.com ) to see upcoming events. There are some interesting events coming up that may prevent us getting bikes on to the forecourt, but if we're parking at the hotel (see below), it doesn't matter.

There is a Travelodge about 300m away which would sought out accomodation for the Sat night - quite reasonable at £28 per person. Check out the Travelodge website - you want the one that has the following address: Northdale House, North Circular Road. NW10 7UG.

There will be a mixture of bikes, both Harley, cruiser and sports - the plan is to make it a steady ride on A and B roads, not a mad and boring blast down the M1.

If anyone fancies joining us for the weekend let me know. Will firm up dates when i get an idea of how many interested and availability.

Ya never know - perhaps some of our fellow club members from darn sarrth, may be around to say hello and point us in the direction of things worth seeing whilst down in that neck of the woods!

Sounds like a good trip you are planning there Ruth. Was thinking of going down this coming Saturday to the Chopper Club bike show, but my son's band is playing in Oswestry, so we are going there.
Don't have a spare weekend in August at all, so wont be able to join you !

i live alot closer to the ace then you guys soo wouldnt be any point meeting up to ride withya.

but when you get a better idea of when then let us know.
wouldnt mind meeting some new faces from the riders club
