RIP Barney (Rubble) Shop Dog

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Barney the shop dog had to be put to sleep on Saturday evening 31st Jan. Everybody who knows me and has visited the shop, knew how much he meant to me. He loved doing his job, he loved the customers and he loved bikes especially Harleys. I thought I would put it here to honour him and to answer a question posted on another thread. Rest in Peace my beautiful boy.

Oh darlin..I'm sobbing here..we were only talking a short while
ago about how we couldn't imagine what it's going to be like
without our lovely doggies!! I'm so sorry you had to find out sooner than later!! He was so well loved and you an Jan gave him a wonderful life!!
Just gonna give my Major a big hug...I don't think he will be with us much longer!!

Dear Steve and Jan

We were just talking about Barney the othr night when we found out where the regions meetings were being held. Really sorry both of you he was a brilliant dog. I still cannot get over that video you showed us on your mobile when Barney got his wheels and you went on Black Rock sands that was so brilliant. Not sure what we would do without our daft collie, you get so dam close to them. RIP Barney, and hopfully me and Linda will drop in soon. All the best to both of you

Being fellow dog lovers, we really feel for you both, weve been there to many times also, were sending you this in the hope it will lift you as it has done for us

JUST THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN IS A PLACE CALLED RAINBOW BRIDGE
WHEN AN ANIMAL DIES, THAT HAS BEEN ESPECIALLY CLOSE TO SOMEONE HERE, THAT PET GOES TO RAINBOW BRIDGE.

THERE ARE MEADOWS AND HILLS FOR ALL OUR SPECIAL FRIENDS, SO THEY CAN RUN AND PLAY TOGETHER. THERE IS PLENTY OF FOOD, WATER AND SUNSHINE, SO OUR FRIENDS ARE WARM AND COMFORTABLE.

ALL THE ANIMALS THAT HAVE BEEN ILL AND OLD ARE RESTORED TO HEALTH. THOSE WHO WERE HURT OR MAIMED ARE MADE WHOLE AND STRONG AGAIN, JUST AS WE REMEMBER THEM IN OUR DREAMS OF DAYS GONE BY.

THESE ANIMALS ARE HAPPY AND CONTENT, EXCEPT FOR ONE SMALL THING.... THEY MISS SOMEONE SPECIAL THEY HAD TO LEAVE BEHIND. THEY RUN AND PLAY TOGETHER, BUT THE DAY COMES WHEN ONE STOPS AND LOOKS INTO THE DISTANCE.

THE BRIGHT EYES ARE INTENT, THE EAGER BODY QUIVERS. SUDDENLY HE BEGINS TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE GROUP, FLYING OVER THE GREEN GRASS, HIS LEGS CARRYING HIM FASTER AND FASTER.

YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED, AND WHEN YOU AND YOUR SPECIAL FRIEND FINALLY MEET, YOU CLING TOGETHER IN JOYOUS REUNION, NEVER TO BE PARTED AGAIN........... THEN AT LAST YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER.
