May-hem 2009

Right then folks here's the score for the rally,
it's on for the 16th May (Saturday),
starting off at the Ponderossa between 10 and 12 'noon.

End point will be The Grouse Inn, Carrog.
Don't forget to turn up before 5pm otherwise points will be deducted from your score!

The landlady Sarah guarantees we won't run out of beer and she'll be putting on a couple of real ales. If we get enough numbers she'll put on an outside bar and a bbq- she's well up for it, nice to be welcomed ain't it.

Camping is a 2 minute walk on the other side of the river at The Station Campsite . Good facilities and the charge per night for a 2/3 man tent will be £8, so if you want to save money bunk with a mate or two!!! No problem for those who want to stay the Friday night either.

The cost of the event is FREE. You pay for your own camping, beer and food.

More details to follow...

Re: May-hem 2009

Cheers for that Jon, it's looking good
I notice from the camp site website that they do a 50% discount for caravan rallies, do you think they might be open to a quantity booking discount for us lot, who are much poorer than caravaner's and can only afford two wheels !

Re: May-hem 2009

Discount is only available for pre-booking and with a minimum number on a dedicated site, (plus I think it's for caravans only!). Not really for us on the first attempt, we aren't selling tickets or taking bookings in advance.

Hopefully we will be keeping it informal and easy to attend, so arranging tickets and bookings would take away from the event.

But if you can fit another 2 people in yer 3 man tent it'll cost you less than £3 each

Re: May-hem 2009

Question - Is anyone going to camp over on the Friday night? I'd probably bimble over during the afternoon (from darkest East Anglia) camp over, win the May-hem, maybe stay again Saturday, then a full-on blat across country to get to see the Region 15 lads & lasses at the BMF later on the Sunday.

I'd quite like to come visit you lot of Celtic heathens, espacially as I missed the WWP. Looks like it's only about 190 miles, so easily do-able.
