Badges, Logos, T Shirts, etc

Hi

I was looking at designs for a Shropshire region logo before Xmas. Got so far then hit a wall.

As we're a sub region of North Wales, should we have a joint one rather than just a Shropshire one.

I know when other regions get out and about, there logo's are quite distinctive .... New Forest are a good example. Thought it would be nice to have something for our group.

So .... come on folks .... what are your thoughts?

Shropshire & North Wales combined logo or separate?
What would you like to see on the logo?
Who would be interested in regional club products?

All ideas, thoughts, comments welcome.

To get the debate started, Ive attached an example of something i thought of before Xmas. Has the evolution theme as Shropshire is the home of Charles Darwin, a hint of the HD logo, with the Ironbridge of Thomas Telford fame over the top!!

We looked into a couple of years ago hun..an it went off the boil!
Definatly think we should have something..theres a guy who lives by me that was at Os..he was gonna make them....have to get our heads together an see what folks want...

Hi ruth i like your design a lot but would be nice to have the north wales and shropshire in it together IMO, the idea of the evo of man/woman/person (don't want to upset any body ) is cracking did you have somebody in mind when you designed it LOL
think perhaps just go with tees to start with and see how it goes as for design something along the line you have shown is a cracker
have i got any ideas to be honest no i am not artistic at all

I was going to have a crack this weekend at somehow weaving the welsh dragon in there .... mmmm .... gonna take some thinking about!

Now ... must find that bottle of wine to help me concentrate!

Hi Ruth, great design

A couple of things to consider ................

One badge for all would make more sense as the numbers may not be enough to have them produced separately.

The problem with one design is incorporating content to keep both areas happy ! Not too much Darwin/Ironbridge and not too much Welsh dragon, flags etc.

It's gonna be a hard one to seamlessly combine the two !

Don't panic Mr Mannering - I can tone it down!

I hate to be the one to pour cold water on this, but you can't use the "Bar and Shield", it's H-D copyright. They can (and will ) sue. This is not the committee being awkward, it's plain and simple fact.

Technically, it isn't the bar and sheild. The top is actually the Ironbridge in Telford - I'm fairy sure the HD moco hasn't managed to copywrite that as yet!
