We will probably be feeling a little more worse for wear Sunday morning than you will later in the day
Good luck with the triathlon and I am sure you will enjoy it in a strange kinda way !

That's a great route, mog; but I live right at the entrance to Hope Valley then Bishops Castle and Clun - how could I miss that? See you there!
Cheers,
Pete

yep it looks like it will be an ok route, a few miles of B road past Broome but the rest is all A's with no towns to go through Newtown was always a nightmare on a Friday afternoon. From Dobbies to Talgarth about 64 miles going this way, so we shall see what it's like.

Re: Talgarth

Is anyone going just for the Saturday?
Can meet anywhere en-route if you fancy some company.

Re: Talgarth

What a great rally that turned out to be then ..........

Turned up at Dobbies a few minutes late to find Jacks(Jax) and Fred from Wolverhampton waiting there (great to meet you two, see you again soon).
After fueling up and a chat, Ian and Gaynor turn up on the "Glide 'n Trailer".
At about 3.30 Dave(FXSTC), Paul and Susie, Greg and Ruth turn up having done a scenic Shrewsbury town centre tour !
We then set off down the A49 as far as Craven Arms with a diversion down country lanes because of an overturned lorry. Turing off at Craven Arms through Broome (Vintage and Sportster Rally Venue) and cross country to Talgarth. I thought the route we took was ok, although there were a few moans from some !

A great rally followed, you can read about that elsewhere on this site. Weather was good overall, some heavy shows, even hail on Saturday.

Sunday about midday we set off home via Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells and stopping off at Newtown for a cuppa. Cheryn and myself split from the group just after Welshpool for Shrewsbury, while the others carried on up the A483 towards Oswestry.

Thanks everyone for your company and the moans !!
