Talgarth

Ride down to Talgarth Friday 24th April

If anyone wants to join us for the ride down to Talgarth here are the main meeting points/stops. Ian, if you want to join somewhere near Wrexham let us know, or anyone anywhere else !!

Starting from Shell petrol station, New Brighton, Mold at 2.00pm

Calling at the petrol station next to Dobbies Garden Centre at A5/A49 roundabout Shrewsbury at approx 3.00pm (This bit is about 43 miles and should take less than an hour)

The next bit down the A49 to Craven Arms and onto Talgarth is about 64 miles.

Please let us know if you are joining us, thanks.

We could give you a head start ....

I am meeting the others at Shrewsbury, so if you could make it here by 3pm !
The 50 mph limit won't cause many problems down the A49, and I plan to cut off at Craven Arms, going cross country missing out Leominster, so trailer speeds will be fine.

Oh yes,Mog;
Ironically, I'll be taking the Welsh route, Knighton, Crossgates, LLandrindod, Builth etc,
You'll be going the English way...
I'll be there about 1500hrs,...
Beat me to it and the beer's on me
Cheers,
Pete

Re: Talgarth

BTW mog; if you want to go the really nice way, avoiding roadworks, caravans etc, I could meet you at Dobbies at 3, going my way would add about 10 miles to your route...
Cheers,
Pete

Cheers,

Hi Pete, I have travelled down the 483, Newtown, Llandrindod Wells and Builth to Talgarth for years now. As I am now in this neck of the woods thought I would try the "other" way, only plan to stay on the 49 as far as Craven Arms then cut accross country missing out Leominster. What do you think !

Re: Talgarth

Hi

Am planning to travel down tomorrow afternoon. Not sure whether i'll get to Dobbies by 3pm as i'm in Worcester in the morning picking up ma new motor (car)!

If i don't make it, I'll see you all at Talgarth later on! Be warned - i've got the tail end of flu!

Mog - sent a pm with my mobile just in case.

Cheers
Ruth
