Ruth you'll get a lot out of it, don't worry about what he may pick up about your riding 'cos non of us are perfect. He even fooked up a couple of times with his riding so we can all learn and fair play to you for wanting to ride better- I've been out riding three times this week working on just those two points and it's brilliant putting it into practice and noting the difference it's making to my riding.

Well - finally got to do my days training. Have to say I really enjoyed it. Fair to say that some improvement was made through the day which was good!

Although it did find myself riding a bit like a power ranger at one point!! And the concentration was a killer. When he commented on the nice rolling Shropshire Hills, i silently asked myself, 'what chuffin hills?'

Good on you Ruth......I did a Bike Safe day for £30 with the Met Police the other week and even after 41 years of riding bikes and many advanced driving courses with the Fire Service I got a good few tips out of it.

I am going to try and get on one of these or, at least, one with The Police. Main reason is that I ride a number of bikes and The Harley (XL1200s - 2003) is so different. As a newcomer to the world of The Harley (always wanted could not afford) I can find my concentration wavering.... as I get used to the gearbox and rolling off before changes. I think I need to get out there a lot more on it and get some professional advice / constructive criticism too on the machine and thats after 30yrs of riding a lot of other stuff thats a heck of a lot faster, but not upto 60 I may add. I guess I aint too proud to know when I need it ~ if it enhances both safety and enjoyment.
