Hi all,

I'm not very often putting words on here, but today, Gordon phoned me to inform me that his beloved mum has passed peacefully away yesterday... A lot of you know him, some of you will not, but believe me when I tell you she was a gem... I saw her last on Friday evening when she had a big smile for me... Gordon's obviously not a webbie but I'm sure you all will have a though with me in her memory... Her funeral will be next Monday afternoon.

Patrick,
Never knew Gordon's mum obviously, she's been ill for as long as I've known Gordon Thompson (2 years). But Gordon is a grand bloke - sat in for us to chair our NW agm recently. Gordon seemed always to be talking about leaving these shores on his bike and following his dream heading off into the sunshine on some world tour or some such. His big heart meant he put his life on hold effectively to be there for his mum. From the little I actually know Gordon I can almost guarantee he won't have lost his passion for travelling. Go Gordon. Reach for your dreams knowing your mum is with you all the way.
