Re: March Meeting

Paul,
I went to the Llangollen web party with my Jo, also from NW were Patrick (French Owl) and his wife Susan, FXSTCDave (Cole) and Pete (Leatherman) from Northern Harley Club.
Me and Jo only arrived on the Saturday morning so missed Friday night. Although some folk stayed elsewhere the Royal Hotel was in a real state with builders hard at work trying to transform the place in readiness for the summer season. There were rooms without sealed windows and disconnected central heating, no carpets, lots of dust but someone had parked a Harley in the foyer which made a real impression.
The Saturday evening party went really well. We couldn't use the Royal's function room because of the builders so had been invited to take over a bar along the street. Roger (web master) set up some sounds, there was a raffle for a children's hospice (didn't hear how much we made), there were thanks and appreciation with gifts for Roger for his efforts at spicing up the website, and for Mog & Sue for getting the whole weekend organised. The band for the evening consisted of my good self in a background role playing keyboards behind Andy 12 String and Kendo on guitars & vocals, (Music) Barrie Cree on bass and the 16 year old son of a Sussex Coaster on drums (can't recall the lads name). Altogether the event was a top do, with the stragglers hitting the bar till gone 4.00am Sunday morning.

Hope there's enough there for the Quin. Might also be worth mentioning our plans for going to different region's meetings eg N. Wales. Mog & Sue are up for visiting ours one Wednesday.

Re: March Meeting

Hi Rod Bod.

The Softail Custom in the foyer of the Royal was mine.

Mog asked me to ride her in for a photoshoot for
the cheque presentation on Friday night, he then asked the
management who said I could leave it there so I moved to
one side and locked it up and she stayed there until I sunday
lunch time when I left.

Re: March Meeting

Sorry Paul.
I was tied up working till late and didn't make the meeting last night. Save my T-shirt till April, although Wednesday 5th is my Mrs birthday. Never mind, can always bring her along and buy her a pint for a birthday treat .
