Isle Of Man weekend 08-10th September 06

After a lot of chatting it looks as though we're finally getting around to a weekend trip to the Isle Of Man.
Dave Andrea, the Riders Club rep on the island, has agreed to get things booked and show us around, including a lap of the TT circuit.

There's the exotic nightlife of Douglas or Peel ,where Dave lives, to entertain us on the Saturday night.

The date is Friday 08th Sept to Sunday Sept 10th.

Once we get numbers and preferences we can start looking for accomodation,we can book either B&B or camp site.

So, sailings are by Seacat from Liverpool on Fri 8th Sept at 18:30 return sailing Sunday at 14:30.

or from Heysham 14:15 leaving Isle of Man Sun 17:00.

The cost is £88 return for the ferry and prices for accomdation will be sorted out later, once we have numbers.

PM me if you're interested and we can get it moving.

Count me in Boogie. The B&B idea sounds good to me. It can be bloody chilly on Manx under canvas . Might go over from Heysham myself just to be awkward, depends on timings and when I can get away from work.

LOL, how about a cabin? I'm sure we can clear out the non-essential clutter in there to make room

2. Have u arranged security at the Liverpool ferry terminal ... I dont want me bike knicked

3. Can I av a hotel room with a bog .... am fed up pissin in the sink when we ride "darn sarf" to meet them Jessies

4. Will the "exotic entertainment" promised be better than watchin two Norwegian Blue Parrots mating

5. Do we av t' pack bottles of Newcastle Brown ... or can u drink the tap water in IOM

6. Do the shops stock decent Chrome polish or shall I pack me own supply

Re: Isle Of Man weekend 08-10th September 06

All perfectly reasonable questions indeed, many of our clients have similar concerns:

1. A Passport shouldn't be required as you are strongly advised not to stop unless absolutely necessary, and 'absolutely necessary' means if the ferry doors are closed.
2. Awe and thunder! If we arrive en mass it will be so confusing for the mouth breathers they won't be able to make a choice of which one to nick. By the time they've decided, we'll be swigging biker cocktails on the poop deck.
3. I've been assured there are bogs enough for all of us. Natra's is on the seafront, Kendo's is at the local golf club and there are two working troughs for the rest of us.
4.Let's hope! Although I've yet to experience the full-on Norwegian Blue parrot show.
5. Don't know what tap water is! I thought you lads always travelled with stocks of Newkie.
6.Not only Chrome polish but micro-fibre cloths. We've got a prime spot under cover in the marquee for your bike, with a 6ft exclusion zone around it to facilitate polishing.
7.We'll look a damn site better and safer than all those Ch-ermans during Mad Sunday.

Can't wait, now has anyone mentioned Route 66?
