Well, I'll be there with the wife. I'm only taking Jo because at this rate there'll be no bu**er else there I'll know .

Why all the apathy and griping, guys?

John,
I'll happily tell you face to face when I get the chance to enjoy a drink with you. I'm not going to put any comments on why I would or wouldn't go to Oswestry on here. After the last one, there was a general request for people's comments with a view 'to helping improve'.
Seems like, unless you said it was fine, don't change anything, you were seen as griping or raising points that were immaterial. The phrase "I've been going to rallies for 20 years....." lost all it's meaning.

Hope you have a good time, at least Jo won't let you fall asleep in the sawdust, will she!

Re: Oz International 2006 - who's goin?

Such a shame...Can't please everyone all the time.

Last year was the 1st at this site, if you filled out the questionnaire then it has been looked at and talked about at various meetings.

We are trying to improve the rally and it's facilities and as it happens an awful lot of people really enjoyed themselves.

There will be more trade stands and the facilities and security have been improved.

The bands are more varied and the catering will be a vast improvement. This is OUR clubs International Rally and as within Europe that some of you have been too they put on a superb rally with ALL the help and assistance of all members.

What I highlighted from your quote above I wonder where you got that from..Maybe on general chit chat on the site? But as I said a lot of good constructive criticism came out of the replies from the slip of paper with the program and we are implementing as many as possible.

I feel this region is mostly hell bent on not going under any circumstances.

Everyone knows a year in advance when it is (ie booking time) and if you really want to go there, it is a cheap 3 nighter with food, camping, entertainment and some good mates to ride out and party with. You can even have a support vehicle and have more then one tent that's CHEAP Camping for a August Bank Holiday with all the other stuff laid on!

Where else can you get that for £20.00 if you are a member.
Still cheap for £30.00 if not a member.

Seems like a few of you will not give it another go and see if there are any improvements. It should get better each year.

But if you have made your minds up, then you can only tell second hand from other people if we are doing any better.

Look YES there was cock ups in all directions last year, on the gate on the campsite with the wc's etc etc, do you really think we are gonna repeat all that? Give us a chance and come along and enjoy yourselves.

At the end of the day it's What YOU make it.;)

Sorry, you just don't get it, do you?

If we carry on down this path we're just going to resurrect the back and forth postings of last year.

I'm sure you can see that's unproductive.

Saying that "this region is mostly hell bent on not going" is implying that some of the region would put that much effort into it
