Re: Oz International 2006 - who's goin?

Baza, I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve here, unless its to wind people up Why not let them sort it out, after all its better to want to go, than to have to go.
I mean, I'd willingly come back from my holiday in France,if there were any DAY PASSES

Re: Oz International 2006 - who's goin?

Hey, sorry to anyone if I've opened old wounds.
Thanks Baza for doing your bit to gee people along . If folk can't afford then that's a separate issue and a system of day passes needs to be looked at certainly for next year.
But regarding the other stuff, from what I've learned from talking to people on the committee and reading my Quin there are going to be a lot of changes that really benefit the rallygoers this year. That tells me the committee are actually listening to and acting on last year's consultation in the interests of the members. What more do we want from them? If anyone thinks they can do a better job they'd have surely stuck their hand up when it came to nominations at the AGM.
Last year's Oswestry wasn't SO bad as to write off going to another International EVER, surely .

Re: Oz International 2006 - who's goin?

"I feel this region is mostly hell bent on not going under any circumstances"
Baza, are you a deaf fly on the wall at our meetings, the only reason anybody at a North West meeting has said about not going to Oz is that they still prefer Shipley (it is still on) as they feel it is an institution and the club should never have moved it, another argument I know and I aint getting involved on here, but rest assured, there will be Members from the North West at Oz. I am working all Bank Holiday (continental shifts and that) but if I can get 1 or 2 or 3 days off I will be there.
cheers Halfwrecked.

John according to what I've read, only Gary has said,on here, he wont be going to Oswestry again. And he'll have his reasons. There maybe others I dont know, but being lambasted the last time he tried to explain something he maybe reluctant to try again.Time to let scars heal I think

Think I'm putting my name down for first-aid cover, gate duty and mebbe replenishing loo roll, Dave. I have no problem 'giving' to this good club and its members, I want to see it thrive and prosper, for God's sake. Who'd want to be a part of anything that failed and faltered unless they were intent on bringing it down completely?
Hey, if you can afford it and wanna go, go. If you don't, don't.
Guess I just wanna see all my Harley friends there to have a ride, a laugh and a beer with.
I'll really miss you guys and girls that can't make it, though. Won't be the same without ya

half man half biscuit....do i win the prize

I wont be going, two reasons, i will not pay full price for the one day i can make it, the committee should have been able to sort out a day pass system by now...how many years have they been running rallies?, and the bands, food, beer and facilities last year were shocking, and untill they are proven to be better Im just not interested.

oh and i never did get my rally badge
