Doug Hacking (Bolton)

I was told this morning that Doug Hacking, owner of Doug Hacking MCs in Bolton, the only Kawasaki dealer in mcr, established over 30 years ago passed away in his sleep acouple of nights ago, after an operation to rid him of cancer. It is believed that coupled with his age/health he suffered complications with healing a week after his operation.I bought my first trail bike of Doug in 1973.And several Big KWAkAS He was a great supporter of off road competition a keen competitor himself. He was a Triumph(NVT) dealer, BMW dealer and later the new Triumph Dealer aswell as CCM

Whilst sometimes moody and hard work Dougie was always "up for a deal" and helped me in my early years of racing, and riding on the road. Whilst not known for being sentimental I for one will miss him sitting in the corner smoking cigars at Ivy road Garage. I always called in for a chat, when back 'ome in Bolton .

RIP Dougie and best wishes to his family.
