M.o.t

Well the old boy passed it again, 19 years old and still going strong, 8k since the last one and to be honest only gave it a service, nothing else was needed, the mot guy did say these was play in the front wheel bearing, odd really because i changed that 10k ago, so he said fix by the next mot, ill check it weekend when i get a chance, may pop over the the stealership and pick one up and do it sunday.

Re: M.o.t

Congratulations on keeping such a high milage & long running bike.

Wheel bearing play, the bain of getting an H-D MOT'd from the past.

There is supposed to be play in the bearings with the tapper roller wheel bearings and yes it can be quite large and still be well within factory specs.

Next time if you have a copy take the factory manual to show the guy, I have had this a few times with MOT testers who were not familure with the H-D taper roller bearing set up and sleave adjustment.
