Club Rallies & Ride Outs 2009.

Hi Everybody

I was going to put this up in a couple of weeks.
But I thought if I put it up now as it may get more of the regions members involved.
Plus any others from other regions who read this and want to come along.

So I'm putting up list of club rallies I'm looking to go to (with dates) and a rough route.
To see if anyone is interested in riding down to them with me. All we need is a meeting
time and place (for rallies, I usually set off from home around 2pm on Friday afternoon).

1 Club AGM, Market Harborough : Sat Mar 28th. Setting off : 9am.
Not a rally, but an important club event.
Basically onto and along M62 then onto and down M6 to its end, then
onto the A14, then onto the A508 to MH.
I'll be on my CBR (try to keep up ).

2 Talgarth, Fri Apr 24th - 26th.
Basically onto and along M62 then at J10 onto M6 and down to
J20a off onto the M56 along to J10 then off onto the A49.
Down the A49 to Leominster, then onto the A44 along until it meets
the A4112 onto this, then onto the A438 then onto the A4078 to
Talgarth.

3 Vintage and Sportster, Fri May 8th -10th.
Basically onto and along M62 then at J10 onto M6 and down to
J20a off onto the M56 along to J10 then off onto the A49.
Down the A49 to Craven Arms then right onto the B4368, along
then left onto the B4367 and along to Broome.

4 Naseby Field, Fri May 15th- -17th.
Here we have 2 routes; one as for the AGM.
Or one across country to Market Harborough.
Onto the M60 off at J1 the A6 then down this to Buxton.
Then onto the A515 down this to the A50 along then onto the A511.
Along the A511 until it meeets the M1 at J22 then down the M1 to J20
then of onto the A4304. Along this to MH then up the A508 to the
Rugby Club.

5 The Lakes, kirby Lonsdale, Fri Jul 10th -13th.
Here we also have 2 routes, Onto the M61 north up then continuing
up as it merges with the M6 then up to J36 then off and down the
A65 to KL.
Or up the M61/M6 and off at J31 onto the A59, along to Gisburn,
then left onto the A682 up this until it meets the A65 then up this
to KL.

6 International Rally, Walesby, Fri Aug 28th - 31st.
Onto the M60 along and off at J1 onto the A6 and down to
Chapel-en-le-Frith. Then onto the A623, along the A623 to Baslow
then onto the A619 along this to Chesterfield. Then onto the A632
along and through Bolsover to Cuckney. Then onto the A616, along
to Ollerton then onto the A6075, along then left onto Whinney Lane.
Up this road past all the houses then take the 2nd right Brake Road.
Turn right onto brake Road, along then left into the Rally Site.

So there you have it for the clubs rallies and AGM.

You don't have to do them all, but it would be nice to have company on any of them.
As I said all we need is a meeting place and time. It can near to me or half way down.

As for regional rideouts for the coming year.
The list is below, and as with the rallies all we need is a meeting place and time.
If there are any rideouts you want to put forward please do so.
As I have put this list up for a few years and always end up going for rides
on my own as no-one wants to come along.

They are in no particular order.

Trough of Bowland.
Rivington Barn.
Devils Bridge.
Squires Cafe (Sherburn in Elmet).
Matlock.
Portmeirion.
Llangollen and the Ponderosa (Horseshoe Pass).
Llandudno or Colwyn Bay or Rhyl.
Scarborough.
Southport to Lytham St Annes to Blackpool to fleetwood to Knott End.
Anywhere else you might like to have a ride out to.

So let me know what you think.
Is anyone interested ?
Or shall I just see you at a rally site during the year.

Re: Club Rallies & Ride Outs 2009.

I thought I'd bump this up.

Anyone up for the Vintage & Sportster next Friday or the Naseby Field
the Friday after ?

All we need is a meeting time and place for either or both.

Re: Club Rallies & Ride Outs 2009.

Hi Dave I will print this off and bring it to the meeting on wednesday night, personnally I cannot commit to anything at the moment as my riding ability needs to improve more due to the after effects of my stroke and also going through a redundancy notice period, so do not know when I may be available in the near future, I did ride to the Matlock Rally last weekend, Maggie drove the car as I did not fancy wiping us both out in 1 go. I enjoyed the ride and the rally but the max speed I can do is about 60 mph, so I will not be burdoning myself on others for a while yet. may see you at the vintage cheers Halfwrecked
