Don't be Ripped off by Cheshire dealership!!!!

Having bought a new Fatboy just 12 months ago for £14500 with stage 1, and then proceeding to spend another £6500 on it and then to be offered £11000 in a part x for another bike, ( this bike was mint) bearing in mind this was the second purchase from this dealership who did an insurance valuation of £21050. beware what you spend on your machine! and where you go to trade, REMEMBER THERE ARE LOTS OF DEALERSHIPS TO CHOOSE FROM! thanks for nothing Dirk

If you're talking about the shower at Ellesmere Port, they put even british 'customer service' levels to shame. Went in there ready to buy a new bike, couldn't get one of the idle staff to tell me what they had in, when I could get a test drive or anything about a waiting list.

Take your money elsewhere, going under won't teach them anything but it might remove some arrogant service from the market.

Can't agree with the there mate Chester HD have always ben pretty good with me, and i didn't even buy my bike from them. But thats the workshop staff and clothes sales (yea Linda buys me Harely Clothes for Christmas and birthdays). Don't know what the sales staff are like but have always appeared quite attentive.

Bought mine from them, found them to be good all round, never sold one to them, when the time comes to change, it may be a different story.

Re: Don't be Ripped off by Cheshire dealership!!!!

Nothing different than any other dealer IMO.

Happened to me with my Heritage, £3500 in 9 months with Robinson's Foundry and with the guy I bought my Fatboy from, £6000 in 12 months from Warrs.

Sell any vehicle, car or bike, after 12 months and you are going to take a big hit. 1st 12 months maximum depreciation. Answer is, don't buy new.

Re: Don't be Ripped off by Cheshire dealership!!!!

Find a bike you like and keep it for 10 years. That's another way to beat the depreciation trap. My Fat Bob should fit the bill, when I get a bit bored, I'll add a bit more to it, stage 1 it, bigger engine. At my speed, that'll take at least 10yrs.
I lost a grand in 18mths on a sportster at the other Cheshire Dealership (if you count Stockport as being in Cheshire) which was fine by me!
