However - Apathy Rules, and at this rate I may change my name to "The Lone Rider" . I have a site where runs are posted www.pmadata.com/highlandharley/ which I am about to update for 2007. I am interested in the reply from BAZA and if you do make approaches to BLACKADDER then I would be intersted in any runs or meets you may come up with. I can be contacted either through my site or on 07841 921 582 (if I remember to switch it on, or I can get my helmet off in time to answer!!!)

Thanks HH,

Will get in touch and see what's going on. Good to know there are more riders up here...

Cheers Bill.

Re: New Scottish Region?

Hi Bill

I was working through in Aberdeen yesterday and on the way back I checked mileages and looked around for a suitable "halfway" meeting point.

Alves is 35 miles from Inverness so that could be a good place, and I know GasAxe is from Keith, so he could perhaps make it there?.

Look forward to hearing from you and meeting up. As there is now some "interest" up here, I may break with tradition, (tradition being leaving the bike under it's blanket with the heater on all winter) and take the bike out next dry day. It is all very well keeping the salt and muck off of it, but if that is to be the case then perhaps it should have stayed in the showroom

I am sure we will talk later

Guys

My softail been out very little over the winter, I took it to Edinburgh for
a service early Dec before the cold weather started. However the morning I set off about half four the roads were salted. Although I washed the bike throughly down the inner casing on the lefthand side is bubbling. Never had this before on any bike.
Have phoned Edinburgh Harley about it.

I just mention this I believe I have just been unlucky but maybe its worth keeping an eye open for.

Just sitting here reading through some old threads and came across this. My 2006 has bubbling on the left hand side inner casing. Did you ever get to the bottom of it with Edinburgh Harley, or are we just to accept that it is poor manufacturing quality.

Still using my bike all winter so I wonder how much of it will be left come the summer.!

Re: New Scottish Region?

I did get the casing replaced under warrenty.

It was the same casing as your bike.

It was a right carryon I took pictures emailed them down but when I went to get the casing replaced the wrong one had arrived so a second trip was required.

But these things happen and its replaced now.

I must admit there was no argument regarding replacing the casing.

You may get it replaced under warrenty worth a try.

Wish you luck.

Yes Sue and this post was resurrected from 17-01-2007 two years ago and Blackadder has now stood down as Region 1 rep.

But I don't think many of them get the quin yet!

But I have been told by HogHog that he has joined so hopefully the future will be better.

Yep - just waiting for my documents to arrive - then I'll do the update to my status to show me as member. What is this "quin" you are referring to.?

Cheers - HogHog
