MOT in North-East Scotland?

Hello

I moved last year over from abroad to the North-East of Scotland (Grampian). The bike has been initially SVA/MOT'd by Harley in Glasgow. Ever since than it does not run properly (smooth) anymore so they have messed it up (besides making some scratches!).

As my MOT is due soon I was wondering if there is anybody up here that can properly adjust the engine and do the MOT?

Any help is appreciated (Saves me riding down to Edinburgh).

Roger a couple of guys posted MOT/Service stations near to you but as we are very paranoid here on the site about disclosing friendly MOTers to save them from a visit from an official because we have been saying on here that they are deaf and partially sighted... I have removed the posts.

This is your first post last Thursday and as of today Sunday you have not been back to check it out so you had a chance but I now suggest you meet up at a local meet with our club members and then you may find what you are looking for.

This dose not seem like a very warm welcome I know but I am sure you understand when you think about it.

I Aberdeen there is a guy Jim Hay who has a Harley repair an customise near the docks. I think he should be able to fix it for you. He also uses an MOT station near by so its worthwhile giving him a phone.

I have used him myself as to go to Edinburgh is a day off work and makes for a very expensive service.

Jim does have a web site, but if your stuck I will find his number for you.

As for MOTs my self I use the garage at Mintlaw.

With the demise of 'Bikes N' Bitz' in Nairn, who were very sympathetic to old Harleys, I had to look around, and had my 1974 FLH put through a very rigorous MOT at 'West End Garage' in Nairn.
In the 1970s there were literally dozens of local bike shops doing MOTs, but now there are hardly any between Inverness and Aberdeen...
What sort of Harley do you run?
