Re: Oswestry 4th International 2008:

Will there be ORGANISED Gate duty this year at Oz so ALL REGIONS pull their weight and not just left to a willing few
Can we be informed beforehand via the Regions Forums who covers the gate duty and when
Will outside cover for gate duty be arranged to cover the Sunday Rideout so everyone is able to go on it?
This is my ONLY gripe about Oz
Thanks to evryone who puts in the hard work organising it and making it so enjoyable

Custom Biker will definately be there. We will have a good selection of Cruiser style clothing, glasses, goggles, face masks, german helmets and of course your Harley Davidson parts & accessories. Be sure to come & see us on our stand especially if you like AC/DC.

Re: Oswestry 4th International 2008:

Hi this is a gripe
Having just read this thread I was a little pistoff by the fact that there will be a (Jap camp at oz) other bike parking area. I have been on HDs for some 10 Years now but have many happy memories of other makes and models and the great open road over some 35 years. I was introduced to HD by some Dutch cops who would drag me along to HD rallies all over Europe and all was well until we arrived and then I would be directed to the Jap Camp. "Immediately alienated" simply because I could not afford a Harley. How do we expect to keep the club going if we treat potential members as inadequate and or inferior simply because they cannot afford an HD or if they are not quiet ready for the change over. Surly we should be welcoming them on board with open arms and pointing out the error of their ways and educating them in the Joys of Harley Davidson Brotherhood.

My Wife rides a Dragstar Not coming to oz
1st son GSXR 750 Not Coming to oz
2nd son CB750 Hardtail Chop Not coming to oz

These are all motorcycles with two wheels and are as much their pride and joy as is my HD. how would you feel if you arrived at a rally and were told to park your bike away from you in another field simply because it was a Harley??

Any way Gripe over I hope all who read this will give it some thought before going for the quick draw option.

See you all at Oz or at a crossroads somewhere.
Ride free and safe.

ps BAZA if you need to move this feel free Ya Big Baza.

Two points:
We are a Harley-Davidson riders club, not a motorcycle club, not a rally club. The Oswestry Rally has never been a promotional event - it's for the benefit of our members who by our constitution are required to own an HD.
We cannot have other makes on site, simple. We are classified as a single make enthusiast's club - if we allow entry to all, then our insurance is invalid.

Hi Roger
Stright for the Colt 45 peasemaker from the hip.

Two points.
And their guests
The Blue section would have been all the explination needed

Thanks for the clarification. Sorry if I threw a stone in your spokes.
Ride free and safe

Don't understand why you're upset. You asked a question, I answered it politefully and truthfully.

It might have been all the explanation needed, but it would have been an incomplete answer.
