Photo's for Quin article

Guy's,

I have created a couple of articles for the quin, complete with pictures.

Only problem is I am unable to send the piccies
My e.mail tells me somat along the lines of the item is too big.

How do those of you that get the photo's across manage to do so please?

(I will need step by step destructions, as I ain't to bright with the picture side of IT things).

Please note that the pictures I intended to use are also all on photobucket. So if I just sent Andy the link would that work? (although I appreciate that means more work for Andy, so Iwould sooner learn how to get this right).

Thank You

Tracey

Re: Photo's for Quin article

.......when I've submitted articles to the 'Quin with photos I send the text and pictures as separate attachments with a brief explanation of where they should, approximately, go in the text. Also, check the size of your pictures; you don't need to be sending 2mb files because of the repro quality in 'Quin means you can get away with lower res images.

Tracey when you have the LARGE photo on your screen the chances are it will say it is in 25% or 50% of the original.

Click onto Image .........................

Name: resizing.jpg
Views: 44
Size: 119.9 KB

>>> Resize and reduce the photo size to about 4.87 width and 3.65 height. Then click >>> OK then top left hand on toolbar click on File >>>>Save As.

You will then have the size that the quin can print and your server can deliver.

You do loose quality though! If you resize through Irfanview like I do this is the better result.

If you can't suss it out send me the photos one at a time and I'll send them back smaller.

If you are told your photo is too large then you need to resize it.
To enable that get this free download:

Get Irfanview, it's free and it's really good.

Get it here
