Question Re: Cookies

I'd like to change the thread title (but don't know how) to something more approperate.anyway.....

I'm on a Virgin Broadband (M) and the speed test says:

Speed Down 1927.46 Kbps (1.9Mbps)
Speed Up 184.14 Kbps (0.2Mbps)

Dont know if thats good or bad but I do think some of my settings need tweeking do we have a friendly geek in the club ?

.......I'm also on Virgin Broadband and I get:

Speed Down - 7.5 Mbps
Speed Up - 0.9 Mbps

What connection speed are you paying for?

Re: Cookies

Hi that up to 2mb for me what do you think of 1.9mb if its up to 2mb ?

We used to be on dial up so its ok but think there is room to improve my computer settings I use XP and WIE so many settings under Internet Options Advanced and dont know what they are for its hard to know if they are set correctly and had to start somewhere so wanted to know the connection speed.......

Just noted your speed strange that because next one up is the L up to 4mb then the next one up is XL up to 20mb all at extra £££££ to be continued...... tc db

Re: Cookies

What you pay for and what you get are two very different things, I am supposed to get 8mb, but because I live so far from the exchange I am lucky to get 1mb (download), I did talk to BT about and they said they could double my speed, I said 'go on then' they said, you have to have our broadband for that! Talk about holding some back to make yourselves look good.
