New Member confusion

Ok, I risk being humiliated here. Why are some members listed as hangout affiliate, junior contributor, apprentice..etc...
Is it to do with the number of postings and membership status? ie; paid/unpaid
When does a 'new' member become old?

Re: New Member confusion

As you say, those are forum members but not club members, like me for instance.

Below is the designations for non members as per most forums they have different names depending on how many posts/threads.

Andrew in your case any **New Member** applies to anyone who has joined the club in the last 3 months because then as you have access to all sections including Club Business (Not seen by non members) any posts/threads will go to moderation to start with until the new member gets the hang of the club business section then you/they will show as Club Member.

You have now been registered on the site since May 2008 and I guess you joined the club itself in July as your membership runs out end of 2009 so you are a new club member.

This alters if say a member has been in the club for some time and they only just register on here which is the case in many ways as people join the 21st century. I would not then place them as a New Club member but would still keep an eye on the posts in club business as they too are new to that section.

Hope this is a satisfactory answer and has cleared up any confusion?

Thanks everyone for your response. Makes perfect sense now
I'm in no hurry to be considered old either.
