For those too posh to camp.....

I have been reliably informed that there are several amongst us who deem the act of camping, or sharing a bunkhouse, far too common, and desire alternative accomodation away from the horde of great unwashed.

For those good people who would like to climb into a nice warm bed after sharing a pint or two with us (hmm, somehow this appeals! ) here is a link to a list of local hostelries who may be of use.

Ollerton information online - Ollerton guide & directory, Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, UK, Ollerton tourism guide, Ollerton attractions, Ollerton accommodation, Ollerton and surrounding villages heritage, Ollerton places to eat.

No Gaz; it was a response to a request from one of our Club members actually.

There are quite a few regulars at Talgarth, for instance, who book B&B there everey year. I daresay that applies to a lot of other rallies as well.

The fact is WE as a club are trying to encourage members YES Club Members that don't normally camp/raly.....This is a great opportunity for those peeps to see what we get up to at these rallies.

And they can still sleep in peace and quiet in a real bed.

But enjoy ALL the activities that have been laid on.

The last time I roughed it under canvas was the Thistle Rally in January 1973, way below freezing and many inches of snow. I have only ever camped under a tiled roof since.....

We're Harley owners - ergo we're posh!

Re: For those too posh to camp.....

I'd have thought those not wishing to camp would be better suited to a Volvo and an Empingham.

If you have a look at our club rules and constitution when you become a member of HDRCGB, you'll note that camping is not mandatory. We are a riders club not a camping club!
