Walesby visit

Last saturday, 30th May, a few of the usual suspects paid a visit to the Walesby Forest site to iron out a few points and see how things are going.
Our first visit to the venue was back in november last year and although it looked pretty good it wasn't the best time of year to appreciate the place. The change in season and glorious sunshine certainly brought out the potential of the venue to give us a great time at the H-DRCGB International Rally 2009, and celebrate our Club's 60th anniversary in style. There was a marquee up in the place we intend having ours; while it wasn't as big as the one we'll be having it did give an idea of how things will lay out. Personally I'm lookin' forward to returning to a marquee rather than a hall, the atmosphere in the big tent seems to suit us better.
We also got to talk some things through with site managers and get a proper feel for how things will work. So, all in all, things are moving along for a great weekend and I highly recommend setting some time aside to come and join your club mates at our 60th Anniversary year International
