Re: May 15th: Woman Harley-Davidson rider killed on M3/M25 slip road

Hi all, thank you again for your support. We are all finding that the biker community is very close knit and strong, and all these messages and people who have contacted us have all been so kind, it really is so heart warming.

The funeral service has been confirmed for Weds 3rd June at Garston Crematorium, at 2:40pm. The service is open to all family and friends. To celebrate my Mum's (Jan's) life, please wear bright clothing and smiles. Flowers will be family only, but we would like people to donate to either the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust or Cancer Research, care of J Worley Funeral Directors, Hemel Hempstead.

From my Dad, my sister and myself, Thank you

It is so Sad to read of a fellow bikers death from the road.
Was it oil, diesel, loose surface, may never be sure.
We are all careful riders, but then.....

Both myself and Susan send our condolences to you all, love and remember the good times as well as the bad, you will NEVER forget your mum and wife.

Good luck for the future and don't give up the bike, I'm sure that Jan would like you to continue as before, she sounds a fantasic person.

Be careful everybody. Alan & Susan Wise

Thats sad, and a bit close to home for me,- it's only 3 or 4 miles from here and we use that turn off daily. The report of the accident was in the local papers.

I didn't have the honour of knowing you Jan, but I will say a prayer for you and you're family at this most distressing time.
Go ride with God's angels girl!

Funeral Arrangements for Jan Williams Watford Wednesday 3rd June.

Hi Baz
Please find below the arrangements for Wednesday please ensure that it is understood that no bikes should attempt to follow the horses and that all riders respect the family’s wishes and ride with us.

Many thanks
Martyn

Arrangements for Jan Wednesday 3rd June

All Riders are welcome to attend but are asked respectfully to follow the escorted ride to the crematorium.

We will be meeting at the car park of the Woodside Leisure Centre, Horseshoe Lane, Garston WD25 7NJ at 12.45pm for a prompt 1.00pm Departure. We will ride together to Gallows Hill Lane in Abbots Langley and form a Guard of Honour for Jan.
After the funeral party have passed we will ride as a group to the crematorium at Garston. We will have to leave very promptly in order to reach the crematorium in front of the cortege.
If you would like to go direct to the West Herts Crematorium in High Elms Lane, Garston WD25 0JS. The funeral is 2.40pm.
Jan’s family have requested that people wear bright clothes and want to make it as happy a day as possible. We would also like everyone to tie a couple of lengths of brightly coloured ribbon to the handle bars of their bikes.
Flowers will be from family only but there will be a collection for Herts & Essex Air Ambulance and Cancer Research. The collection will be split equally between the two charities.
After the service there will be a celebration of Jan’s life.
For more details contact Martyn on 07736 929104

Please take note that there will be no opportunity to follow the cortege as Jan will be travelling by horse drawn carriage

Many thanks Ride Safe

Jon and myself were both unable to attend in body but we were most certainly there in mind and spirit. Jan has not been far from our thoughts on such a day. To everyone who managed to attend we hope things went as well as can be expected and our thoughts are with all Jan's family.

Don't know what else to say, nothing I can say can make it better.
