Jake.....

…….I just wanted to tell you want I did today. Today, I celebrated, along with hundreds of others, the life of an exceptional young man called Jake Spicer. Jake died tragically young, the victim of a particularly vile form of bone cancer. In his short life he was an inspiration to everyone who met him and, until his last moments, was raising money for children’s cancer charities. He was also an honouree member of my old motorcycle club and I was honoured to be able to escort him on his last ride. I realise that most of you will have never met or known of Jake but, there are a few people, just a few, that each of us will meet in our lives that have such a significant impact on our lives that we are changed. Jake was one of those people.

Re: Jake.....

I've just read up on Jake online and he was obviously a very special lad and your words are a fitting tribute Mark. It's very sad that such good people are taken so young.

Rest in peace Jake.

Re: Jake.....

Obviously a brave lad who thought of others in the same situation. Fine tribute to him but nevertheless a sad loss.
