Re: John Cook RIP

I am really shocked, John and I have corresponded over PM's for the last 2 or 3 years, so much so that we had always planned to meet up particularly last year I think it was to be at Shipely (but I couldnt make it) and then I had offered him my cottage in Wales anytime he wanted for a break with his lovely wife and little daughter.

I never got to meet John and he never managed to get to the cottage, I am truly saddened by this tragic news, I must have missed something on the site because the last time I pm'd him was a couple of weeks ago, I didnt get a reply, so I guess John had been poorly for some time.

I told John I would never follow the long enduring post because I felt to the title was far too fatalistic and found the title so sad....

Now I have lost another good mate in the club albeit a cyber mate I will miss his protaganistic posts and I hope all those who gave John a hard time a couple of years ago will reflect on memory remember him for what a great guy his was...

I will miss your wit buddy...

My deepest condolences to Mel and her little daughter....

Kev

Re: John Cook RIP

Ride free John, can't believe that you have gone mate, you battled so hard and for so long, you may have gone but you certainly will not be forgotten.

All our thoughts are with your family right now, how they will cope, I have no idea.

Garry. Jo and family

Very sad news, my condolences to family and friends. He was certainly a fighter what a tragedy he couldn't win that battle.
