Oil dipstick

Hi,

I know this sounds a bit silly but am i the only one having problems checking the oil level with a black plastic dipstick? Why on earth didn't they make this metal, or at least another colour ?

...because your oil should not get to the black stage. Change it regularly.;)

Or make sure it is wiped dry and de oiled and tipp-ex some white on the level section. I'm sure if you left it a fraction of tipp-ex would not do any harm.

Maybe someone else has a better idea?
