When i say rear end i was just refuring to the rear fender, sorry for the confusion. With regards Eagle HD not had info yet but will keep you posted as things progress. Guys in the States seem to say that the 1350 in good for 140RWHP & 90Ft lb yet no external signs.

Re: Night Rod Special

I'm looking to replace the Deuce with the Special.
My dealer has a cancelled order in gloss.
Ready in a couple of weeks.
Still a bit up in the air about swapping styles so radically.
Part of me can't get away from the old idea of a HD being a more traditional cruiser.
Have to say tho, the Special is a monster machine with fantastic muscle bike styling.
Anyone know of a good aftermarket loud system?

Why are there so many cancelled orders out there?

My local dealer has one as well!

makes me think the dealers ordered a batch in advance thinking demand would be higher. No one is discounting yet though and I'm sure the sunny days ahead will bring a few more buyers out of hibernation.

I've been told that when a dealer orders a new bike in as a customer order and that order is cancelled by the customer, then HD give the dealer 9 months to pay for the bike instead of the usual 3 months if it's ordered for stock.
This is apparently leading to certain dealers placing bogus customer orders with HD so that they can have the stock but longer to pay for it.
Makes sense I guess ??

What a stunning bike.

May need to get some bars similar to the V-Rod position because the standard bars are a tad uncomfortable for an old git like me.

Hope that they bring out some louder pipes soon because the sound is lovely.
Thunderheader do a pipe for it, as do a number of others.
I have a PDF of the Remus brochure but it's too big to upload.
Will try to PM it to you.

Re: Night Rod Special

Much as I love mine, my daughter (20 years old) has decided that she wants to come touring with me, so sadly I've decided to sell it.

It's now advertised in the classified section for £10,500 but she cost £12,195 new.

I love the style and looks of the bike. Loads of torque and sounds lovely.

I'm really going to miss it now. Done 1100 miles since January and the bike just gets better all the time.

Re: Night Rod Special

Hi,

I am new blood.!! Bought a Night Rod special yesterday and rode it 50 miles home. Got special exhaust (something trapp! and so lud I bought some earplugs on the way home) and wider bars.

Could not stop grining all the way (long way) home.

Currently ride a GSXr 750 and have a GSXr 1000 track day bike.

Phil.
