Re: starting problems

Hi, thanks for that. That was the problem excactly the battery was empty, i noticed later on that the headlight wasn't all that bright :-). (sorry for being silly) I only have car battery charger, so had to take the battery out. quiet ackward to take the air filter to get to it.
Was going to post that the problem was solved but did not get around to it.

thanks,

joost

Re: starting problems

Hi Joost.

Glad you have found out what the problem is - the bike takes nothing but a fully charged battery to start. Can I ask why did you have to take the battery out to charge. Do you not use an optimate connected and charging all the time. I would not use a car battery charger to charge the bike battery. Does your bike not have a flexible connector from the battery for charging. What do you do with the battery when the bike is laid up for any length of time. Just curious.

Re: starting problems

No I don't have an optimate. Usually not a real issue because I ride my bike everyday, don't have a car license (have had a lot of fun with those solids wheels and the windy wheather lately) just happen to leave the bike switched while rinsing it. Was only for a few minutes.
The car battery charger happend to be the only thing I could get my hands on, on a sunday.
