Re: squeek

Welcome Nashby. Not had any squeeking myself, nor has anyone else posted a thread over the years I've been about on site. Once you've eliminated the chance of it being mice nesting in the radiator cowling, it's probably worth working out when the squeek occurs eg. during braking, accelerating, cruising, high speed, idling, is it on and off or constant etc. Worth compressing the front forks to see if its coming from them, or even spinning the front wheel, checking the foot pedals and handlebar levers, anything that moves against another surface will have the potential to squeek. Perhaps the airbox cover isn't properly secured into its front grommets??? Is the front fender loose??? Once you've finished clutching at straws the dealer should find it and sort it next time you're in, but until then it might be worth investing in ear plugs.
Good luck.

Re: squeek

Hi Nashby

Just a thought I had a noise from my front end not so much a squeek but a grinding noise, found out it was the brake shoes catching on the disc, wasn't releasing properly. Only other thing I can think of possibly front wheel bearing. Can you give more information such as do you hear the sqeek all the time or may be after a long run. If you can hear it all the time try holding front brake lever slightly on a bit to see if it eliminates it, or spin front wheel before and after a ride. Sure the dealer will sort it under warranty, probably best not to mess yourself. Keep me posted if you get it sorted. Good luck

Zack

Re: squeek

I think a sqeek from a wheel would be unlikely because of the speed at which it is revolving. I was out today and noticed a sqeek, but this came with certain windy conditions fron one of the vents in my Arai. Try borrowing another helmet just to make sure its not that.
