Can I just check that Im right in thinking that (for the A's and the D's) that the fuel capacity changed from 14 litres to 18.9 on the 07 models And also the gear ratio's changed as well.

Hi Mark, just looked at the specs for tank size and the figures you have are what the manuals quote.
The gear ratios are near as dammit the same.

After a lot of very negative feedback, H-D finally change the tank, but they still can't get it through their thick noggins that people might want to take a bike (engineered to go 140-150 mph) out on the highway.

Had a dig around and it looks like the gear ratios are different for US and UK bikes.

US / Uk
1st 11.75 / 10.98
2nd 7.90 / 7.38
3rd 6.32 / 5.89
4th 5.49 / 5.09
5th 4.90 / 4.57

The reduced tank size looks like it could be a good bargaining tool for an 06 Night Rod

Mark, i should have said they were as near as dammit for HDI models. as you rightly point out the US models are different.
