| Hello everyone!!! I've recently bought an '07 Night Rod, and even more recently got a puncture in my rear tyre. That's when it all begun. After replacing the tyre I started getting a weird noise (something like friction noise of dry metal parts) and vibration - went with this to my dealer. It turned out that the bearings on the pulley were damaged. So I had them replaced, wheel aligned and belt adjusted. But the noise came back. It is most audible after 10-20 mile ride, especially at low speeds 15-25mph, on 2nd gear while downshifting or coasting. Went with this to my dealer but they said they couldn't find anything. I read that it may be due to belt adjustment so I checked it, washed it and sprayed with silicon, but still can hear this annoying noise. Thought it might be the rear brake, but the dealer said its fine. Please help, am I getting mad or is it some real problem??? |
