| How do you get it up
To speed that is ,I mean is it a good idea to blast your way up to the legal limit or to slowly accelerate through the gears for economy will it be best to zap your way up or take your time and look at the scenery ,I suppose blasting your way around puts a lot of strain on chains etc so could it be a false economy |

It's all about being in the right gear for a good throttle reponse. You need to know your engine and at what revs you get the best reponse from. It also depends whether you want the acceleration for overtakes or just for general increase in speed.

I nail mine most of the time. 1:40 2:60 3:90 4&5 ? Change just before the limiter. Other times just cruise. Doesn't affect economy that much. 95 to 105 miles till reserve. 2004 883 tweaked a bit. |

| Re: How do you get it up On a good run, hammering the throttle easing back, up and down the gearbox etc, etc, etc I get 115 miles to the tank then onto reserve, not bad eh !!!!!!! ![]() ![]() |
