Riders Edge

Just tried to book my son onto a Riders Edge direct access course. Spoke to the chaps at Riders Edge to be told, they have been closed down. No courses for 2012. Apparently HD have decided its not worth doing.

Bummer, great courses, really good instruction.

Such a shame this is where I did my course and it was excellent.

Re: Riders Edge

My wife bought me an advanced course there for my 50th (four years ago now) a brilliant two days with excellent instructors. This is such a shame and my thoughts are with the brilliant instructors who may have lost their jobs.

Re: Riders Edge

Agree with everything that's been said about Riders Edge. Did my CBT and Test there. Excellent instruction. Spoke to Marjorie Rae at the Bike Fest in Killarney this year to ask why H-D had withdrawn their support. All she gave me was a whole lot of management speak psychobabble but reading between the lines, I suspect that the sales they hoped to generate through RE did not justify the expense of supplying and changing the bikes every six months or so. Would have loved to have gone back for the advanced course.
