A question

As a new associate member to this site, I have noticed that the 3 Midlands groups are all based in the very north of the Midlands, ie Derby, Matlock and Measham.

That seems to leave a large area of the West Midlands, including Birmingham and Coventry,
South Warwickshire not covered. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't want to upset anyone.

Ysabell x

Re: A question

Black Country / Wyvern (meet some Saturdays at Hanbury Cafe) or Naseby are the nearest for Coventry I rekon.

Re: A question

would be useful im sure. im in banbury, so covered by the very large central south region, but the meet is a long way to go for me and i have only made one meet in the last year. i also work in south warks, so if there was ever to be a south warks region, i would be able to get there a lot easier.
is there enough people in the region to make it happen?

Re: A question

Hello Ysabell
I am on the Rugby side of Coventry and still new to this club and the ways of the HD riders. So far I have met Oilslick and Scoll from Coventry who have traditionally travelled to meetings in the north Midlands. There seems to be quite a few members in our area but like the chaps mentioned above they are just happy doing what they are doing at present, which is travelling to more active areas.

I am surprised that there aren't more members in Stratford, Leamington, Warwick Southam etc.

I am sure as the weather warms up there will be the chance of the Coventry members meeting up anyway. Oilslicks suggestion of travelling to one of the other meets gives us a chance for a ride out as well.

Danpie, are you actually Banbury town or one of the villages?

Paul

Re: A question

I'm in Nuneaton but not yet a member. I often ride with a group of (mainly) Harley owners on a Sunday into south Warks. We often head for the cafe at Long Itchington. Always a possible of meeting and riding perhaps?

Re: A question

Danpie, Eezyrider a bunch of us often ride out around South Warwickshire maybe calling in at the pub in Edgehill or the cafe at Wellesbourne aerodrome and more often than not ending up at the Broomfield Tavern in Coventry (Home of the Antelope Club)

The Waterman pub at Hatton Hill is another place we head for on a summer evening.

I've been past the cafe at Long Itchington. I heard they have an American car meet there.

Re: A question

Hi there - I'm a refugee from the London Region - been living in Stratford now for the last 16 months. Met Oilslick and Scoll last year, but only ever managed one Black Country meet...!

I get down to London a few times a year and ride with the guys down there, and also do a few bits with Nene Valley HOG over in Northamptonshire.

Would be nice not to spend an hour plus on the bike BEFORE the rideout begins, though...!!!

Got a few bits planned already for April (weather permitting), but I'd love to tag along if something local is on the cards.

Re: A question

Lived in Warwick until recently. Due to work commitments, I simply didnt have time to do much in the evenings, let alone travel anywhere for meetings. I'm still in Warwick Mon-Thurs each week but am bikeless because it is up country.
