| Poker Run Anyone going down to the Poker Run? I went last year and had a great time even if I was one my own. I will be heading out from Stratford either on the Friday afternoon (depending which week of my timetable it is) or early Saturday.

| Re: Poker Run I can't get out of work until gone 5pm. No leeway, I'm a contractor .If you are thinking of going A46, A14, M11 then we could meet at the Styvechale. By 6pm the traffic should be starting to ease. That route is a bit boring but I don't know an alternative to get there at a reasonable time. |

Roads around here have changed quite a bit since you were an Essex Boy. I suggest A14 then M11 to Stansted exit. From there either A120 to Colchester and follow signs for Mersea, or more intersting take A130 to Chelmsford, at A12 head for Maldon, then through Heybridge Basin....brings you out at the pub (Rose) on the causeway onto Mersea Island.
