Exclamation Sportster 883R Alarm

Hi - questions for reply by PM's please.

2007 Sportster 883R.

Been up the back of my garage for 6 months. Battery Main bike battery dead (0.02 volts.!.)

Put in a new one tonight.

Passive Fob. Put key in and turn it - Alarm goes off. Switch on and you can hear the fuel injection priming.

Just sent son off to Maplin for new battery for Key Fob.

Any other suggestions by PM please - Got an MOT in the morning...!!!!

Son back. Fitted new FOB Battery (CR2032). Bike starts perfectly.

Perhaps a Moderator could close this thread please - or delete if you think necessary, although might be useful for anyone else who experiences this problem. Thanks.

No - but key was in ignition and proximity fob there also. Didn't realise ignition had to be on.

Re: Sportster 883R Alarm

If you learn to disable the alarm and immobiliser from the indicator switches you would not have to wait for batteries.

It's in the manual.
