Lost key

Hi peeps,
i wasn't sure where to post this. I lost my key and fob ( and possibly a letter with my name and address on ) does anyone have any idea how much a new lock to have fitted, and will I need to have something on the alarm changed to?

I am not a technically minded person, so I haven't got a clue at what I am looking at.

Thanks

Re: Lost key

If you've still got the spare, ring your stealership with the number and they can order a new one. The key number is under the black plastic on the key itself. This should give them a clue about the fob as well.

Even if you have lost the spare key as well or do not have a key number I believe dealers can order keys by VIN number - but expect to be asked to provide some evidence of ownership of bike (ie logbook in your name plus id) unless the dealership knows you.

Not at all sure about the alarm though - but will ask the guys at work Monday. What year/model is the bike ?

Re: Lost key

If it has an alarm fob, you can reprogram the code so that the old fob won't work. But I wouldn't worry too much as HD alarms are so easy to crack anyway.

Buy a good lock and chain
